It's just that the devs over on pcsx2 care more about running games then they do actually emulating the ps2. It's not like the ps2 wasn't documented well. Not to mention the output from a PS2 devkit is completely different from pcsx2 and there is literally 0 resemblance (and you said pcsx2 was accurate).
IMPROVE PCSX2 EMULATOR HOW TO
The main purpose of the wiki is to keep track of the playability of games and provide users with tips on how to best configure PCSX2. This information can be easily updated by any PCSX2 user who wishes to contribute to this site. So keep fooling yourself into believing that pcsx2 is accurate because dolphin is 100 times more accurate then pcsx2. This wiki is intended as the source of any kind of information about the PCSX2 emulator as well as the games it runs. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't know that the ethernet port and HDD uses the same bus which is also why dev9 is for both and yet HDD doesn't work in dev9 and Host File System option breaks games. Regardless of what rendering you can think of, its been how many years and they still can't get gsdx rendering right?Įverything else from netplay to loading the discs is literally hacked together. Pcsx2 is very inaccurate and when you bring it up to their devs they get an attitude because they know its true. pcsx2 has no choice but to put hacks in to fix these problems that only popup if you run games above native resolution. From what i read is that a lot of the problems and glitches from hardware rendering is from running games above native internal resolution. Recent development greatly improved hardware rendering but it requires opengl 4.5 capable video card. pcsx2 in software mode is extremely accurate with a lot of game being very playable.
